                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I have a Flexboss21 and a 280AH Battery connected in a Grid Tie with Backup configuration, which has been on-line since mid February of this year.  I have been working on building some data analysis tools using a combination of Access and Excel that use the export data from the EG4 monitoring app.  I ran into issues with understanding what some of the categories are in the exported data.  Specifically concerning grid import and load (consumption).  Google AI was saying the pToUser and pLoad fields only included what the inverter was sending out to Load terminals of the inverter and not the total household loads.  So I did a test and turned on my oven which is on my main panel and not my critical load panel and sure enough the consumption watts jumped up.  I also verified the pLoad data field jumped up as well.  That tells me those to fields are total household consumption (Main panel + Critical Load panel).  Is this correct?</p>
<p>One of the things I wanted to get from my charts and data was a way to compare the EG4 data against my utility bill.  I received my first bill a few days back and the comparisons are not as close as I would think they should be.  I really can only do a direct compare on two data items, Imported power and sold to grid  power.  The imported power was within 1 kWh from what the Utility reported.  However, the Sold to Grid was off by 27kWh's, or 1 kWh per day average.  The interesting thing is the EG4 data was less than the utility data... Good for my bill...</p>
<p>Why is the Sold To Grid power logged by EG4 so much lower than what the Utility logged?</p>
<p>A far as I can determine the only consumed data included in the EG4 export data is pLoad.  There is no energy Day or All Time data provided.  EG4 tracks at least the All Time energy as it is included on the Monitor page.  I am doing my own calculations based on the every 4 minute readings.  Provides better than nothing data, but the accuracy will not be that good.  Why are eLoadDay and eLoadAll fields not included in the Export data?</p>
<p> Final question...  In a Grid Tie with Backup configuration, there are two different loads, the Main panel and the Critical Load panel.  Is there a way to derive how much each panel is using from the export data?  If not, why not?</p>]]></content:encoded>

<p>Issue...</p>
<p>When charging batteries from PV - lets say for example i have 20kW coming in and SOC is 50%-60% across all batteries.  Here is the distribution of power</p>

<li>1 kW - House load</li>
<li>17 kW - Battery charging</li>
<li>2 kW - selling back to Grid</li>
</ul>
<p>WHY is it selling to GRID... i want my batteries charged!!!  Then i will be very happy to dump to grid.  support can't tell me why this is happening at sig solar or at EG4.  Said not to be a bug, but more of a problem with firmware logic...... to me this = BUG.</p>
<p>Support said that I'm maxing charge to my batteries..  so, i kill grid sell back and my battery charging goes to 19kW - nice try though :D</p>

<li>microgrid disabled - no gene</li>
<li>power backup enabled</li>
<li>fast zero disable</li>
<li>share battery disable</li>
<li>parallel settings data sync Enable</li>
<li>no forced discharge</li>
</ul>
<p>Unfortunately PV charge priority doesn't have an option to put Load in front of battery charge.  If it did.. problem would be solved.  When this is enabled house load gets pulled from GRID. </p>
<p>I've been told a number of things by 3-4 support people.  In the end.. it's super simple use PV to satisfy house load, if there's anything left charge the batteries till each respective inverter's batteries are at 100%, if there's anything left, sell to Grid.  </p>
<p>I do understand if Inverter #1's batteries get to 100% all remaining PV coming from that single string will go to Grid.. and I'm good with that, but by God the other two inverters better not be giving any power to Grid until their batteries are full!  again.. to be fixed with the buss later this year.</p>

<p>I have isolated and recorded some data showing volts, amps, frequency, PF, watts....</p>
<p>The data was recorded on legs 1 and 2 connected  to the last two breakers in the panel.</p>
<p>The inverter was basically in what i consider an idle mode, not charging the battery or back feeding.</p>
<p>When the hum starts it goes thru a cycle similar to two frequencies out of phase. Meaning</p>
<p>the sound gets louder and the softens up.  This didn't last for a long time maybe 10 minutes.</p>
<p>I hope this makes it to the techs at EG4.  I didn't hook up an oscilloscope to check my phase theory yet.</p>
<p>Pay attention to the PF and Amp readings.</p>

However, recently my solar seems to be delayed coming on randomly and the last two days it hasn't come on at all. The voltage is over the 140v threshold and stays there all day.</span><br /><br /><span>I am on the latest firmware and haven't made changes to the system in a while other than changing the amount of forced discharge. I did try changing the mppt to #3 and it does the same thing.</span></p>

EG4 has acknowledged this bug, and been working on it for MONTHS. It has been fixed for the 6000xp, so why not for the 12000xp ?</p>

<p>The behavior in 12000xp version ceaa-000507 shows the vBatt "stuck" and floating at vBulk rather than vFloat. This is unacceptable, dangerous, and will shorten the life of LFP batteries. My understanding is that there was one updated released since xxx507, but that it does not address this issue.</p>

<p>WHEN will there be a fix for the 12000xp such that it actually uses vBulk and vFloat settings for a LFP-friending charge curve ?</p>

                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I have a Flexboss21 with the 280AH battery and my system was just placed in service 2 days ago.  I have been watching the monitoring app pretty closely to see how the system is functioning and also to get my setup working the way I would like it to.  One thing I have noticed that concerns me is 2 to 3 times each day (24 hours) the system is showing a 6kW to 7kW load spike that lasts one reporting cycle (~4min).  The last one occurred a little after 1:54am this morning.  The load before and after this event was less than 600W.  In looking at the data, there was a vBus2(V) dip and a Vbat_Inv(V) dip at the same time.  The spike is definitely something going on within the Inverter battery system.  At this time of day, the battery is supplying the house load.  The battery SOC graph shows a much steeper decline rate during this interval as well, so it to be a real load.   </p>
