I just switched over to an EG4 18Kpv from a new Growatt SPH10000 that had issues. Prior to that I had an off grid setup for 17 years around the Outback VFX3648 inverter with Outback charge controllers, the HUB, the FNDC, and the MATE3. My Outback set up worked well, but was well undersized from my needs for the past 10 years. Turns out the EG4 18Kpv has some issues and I hope to get those ironed out tomorrow with tech support. For instance, this morning with snow overnight, the inverter shut down due to low voltage below my generator settings that were to prevent that. I hope it has nothing to do with my battery bank of 7 SimpliPHI 3.8 52.1v M batteries because I do not want to buy new batteries to replace these that have only been in service for 2.5 years. I do have the inverter set up for voltage instead of SoC.

Hello new to posting on here. After about 5 months I finally got my system fully running and complete. I have it grid peaking during the day, forced discharge at prime time.I sell back all solar and then charge everything at night on Super off peak. I have 2-200 amp panels that had to be completely redone as the house was split so I had to move the house to 1 entire panel. 2 car chargers, and 100 A sub panel are on the 1 Main panel feed directly off grid. The main incoming gas line to the house from the meter had to be rerouted and a few romex cables as well had to be rerouted. The grid boss now feeds it's now Sub panel that completely feeds the house. I have a circuit built for if the Grid goes down it kills a relay to then take the AC unit off line so it doesn't just sit and chew through batteries in the summer during a extended outage. As it is a 5 ton unit. I put a soft start on the AC to ease the start load and the flex boss does a great job. I Live in Northwest Indiana not ideal for solar.

I am installing 18kpv hybrid inverter with all weather mount battery to my 200A main panel. Installer told me I need to install CLP. Do I really need to install CLP? Can hybrid inverter directly supply power to whole house from battery without CLP? I got 2 approved drawing from architect. One with CLP and other without CLP. I need suggestion

I successfully installed 32 removed link " target="_blank" rel="noopener">SilFab 430w solar panels along with the EG4 FlexBoss21 and GridBoss a little over a week ago. All of this is accompanied with the removed link " target="_blank" rel="noopener">Tigo TS4-A-Os, TAPs and CCA for optimization and RSD.

Thanks to removed link " target="_blank" rel="noopener">Signature Solar for a great customer experience and support during the commissioning phase! I would also like to say that Tigo's support is also top notch! I've already produced over 150kWh during the winter sun, so I am stoked to see what it will be like come spring and summer!

GridBoss fail utility commision for 0.7Vac on gris lugs with Utility disconnect

I have fail commissioning with utility because I have 0.7 Vac on the grid output lugs between L1-L2. Utility need to see 0Vac. EG4 Tech support said it's normal and I'm about 4 hours waiting toi have an EG4 manager to call me. I install many other brand and i never see voltage on the grid lugs when it's disconnect fron the utility. Should be a basic UL1741 not to backfeed the grid. any suggestion or any other experiance the same problem?

12000XP Abnormal High Fan Speed

Brought two new12000XP inverters in parallel with two EG4 280Ah wall mount batteries in parallel online 1 week ago. One of the 4 fans (2nd from top) on the Slave inverter continuously screams at high speed whereas that other 3 fans on that inverter and the 4 fans on the Master inverter remain off or at low speed. They are in a cool basement. Lowering fan speed remotely for Fans 1 and 2 had no affect. Anyone else have this issue and a fix?f

For six months I have been waiting for a company to finish the install of Gridboss and Flexboss 21 system. I apparently have to finish it myself. It is physical in place, inspected and commissioned. I'm listed, dongles, grid tied but little else. I have a propane generator that is installed and commissioned but not recognized by the Flexboss. Grid LEDs on, normal light flashing amber light on. No SOC on the battery. Should I hire a licensed professional?

Parts are on the way for my Hybrid system which will include a:

Flexboss21.

Gridboss.

(3) EG4 14.34kWh battery.

(48) 440W solar modules.

I'm entering this system for any questions and advice that may apply. I have a contractor for the installation. We are on a fast track to have it all operational prior to December 31st in order to qualify for the Federal tax credit. Oregon also has an incentive program that provides a $4,250 incentive for the project. This is the time to go for it!
