System Only Works in Lead Acid Mode

I have a 12000XP and a bank of 6 Lifepower V2s. It worked for months in Lithium Mode, until the system failed and the inverter would not turn on because it was not receiving a SOC from the batteries. I powered everything down in order and back up, but the inverter would not produce AC power, in spite of having 53vdc at the inverter inputs. Assuming this was due to the programming to shut off at 20%, I switched to Lead Acid mode, and the inverter works. However, in this mode I cannot see SOC on the app and I lose the smartload function. I have tried a different BATT com cable (both the new and old are EG4 products). I am looking for ideas to recover the SOC reporting function from the batteries to the inverter.

new router - eg4 wifi dongle won't connect now

I updated to a new router today. I setup the wifi SSID and pwd exactly the same as before. All wireless clients connect except my 2 wifi dongles on 18KPV inverters. They've been working for over 2 years until today.

Please make suggestions for solutions.

I also ordered 2 ethernet dongles today so I can use wired ethernet. What is the procedure to swap from my existing wifi dongles that are now not working to the ethernet dongles?

I need to know how to set them up, how to put them into my cloud account and how to get back to a working system.

I have followed every possible solution including resetting my dongle several times and it failed to register.

Who do I contact to unbind the old registration from the cloud database?

My 18kpv is being labeled as a 12k in the app and monitoring tools which is not showing a 3rd Array for pv3. It is producing and showing on the device, just not in monitoring.

Issues with Morning start on an AC coupled system

I have APsystems microinverters AC-coupled to a GridBOSS Smart Port and Flexboss inverter. If the battery reaches my discharge cutoff overnight, the battery stops discharging and the APsystems no longer have an AC reference. In the morning, even when battery SOC is above AC Couple Start SOC, the Smart Port PV doesn't restart. If I manually initiate battery discharge, the APsystems immediately get their AC reference and reconnect. I need this to recover automatically during a utility outage. How should Dark Start be configured with a GridBOSS Smart Port? Does this require the FlexBOSS Dark Start/Dry Contact 2 function, or is there a Smart Port/SOC setting that handles it?

EG4 Connected Solutions eligibility in Massachusetts

Does anyone know if an Eversource Greater Boston account can complete ConnectedSolutions enrollment with an EG4 FlexBOSS21? I see that National Grid and EG4 have a ConnectedSolutions aggregator agreement, but I can't find anything definitive for Eversource.

One of the EG4 FAQ pages mentions Eversource ( https://eg4electronics.com/grid-services/massachusetts/connectedsolutions/ ) but I haven't been able to find Eversource or any other websites listing EG4 as compatible with the ConnectedSolutions program in Eversource MA territory.

Scoping and Wiring Question.... Battery to ride through until generator starts

I have a weird situation.

I am building a new house and I am planning on adding a 24kW generator, but I am also looking at installing a GridBOSS + 2x FlexBOSS21 + batteries. The goal is to have whole home battery backup for a short duration (>1 hour is my design goal, longer is just gravy) and generator for long duration outages. Yes, that is a bit expensive to add both just for battery/power, but I this is my forever home and I'm tired of managing a dozen different standalone UPS on my critical electronics.

I am also thinking of adding solar down the road anyway, so adding the gridboss + flexboss21s at build time makes sense to me.

Questions / Guidance Time!!!

1. The new house is sized similar to my current house and in the same area, so I am expecting electrical loads to be similar. 2x variable speed inverter ACs (so low LRA). Average total usage of 6 kW, short peaks of 20 kW. Based on that I believe I need 2x FlexBOSS21 to ensure I always have enough capacity. The question is that for short battery runtime needs do I NEED 3 batteries, or can I live with only 2? I may add more than 2 after solar, but there will be no solar initially. Obviously 2 batteries is attractive from a cost standpoint.

2. If I need 3 batteries, how is a 2 inverter + 3 battery system wired between inverter and battery? The wiring docs say every other one (which would be battery 1 and 3 in a 1-2-3 config), but then also say to NOT use the end batteries. So would both inverters just go on the central ("2") battery in that case?

Why is AC charging occurring?

As the chart below shows, all night long my batteries repeatedly charge briefly from the grid, then discharge. The pdf shows my settings and that AC charging is disabled. Why is this happening? I have an 18 KPV inverter and 2 - 280Ah indoor wall-mount batteries.

My system has been down for a while while moving to my new house and when I brought it back up I see I am blocked from making changes to it. I think it was due to Home Assistant polling too often. I have deleted the EG4 integration with Home Assistant so that problem should be solved. I need to make changes before my batteries run dead. Is there someone here on Saturday that can lift this for me before it is too late? Thanks! Here is a serial number if it helps - 5074850625 .

Gridboss ESS switch doesn't do anything

Our first install of a Flexboss21 w/ a Gridboss doing whole home backup ( 200A main panel ). After updating the firmware, before connecting the Flexboss and the Gridboss together with the parallel comms cables. I was comissioning the system and found that the ESS switch for the Gridboss doesn't do anything. Anybody run into this one? am I missing a setting?
