Phew. it seems to have just resolved itself after third restart. It would be nice if there was a way that we could edit posts for a bit longer.

Okay even worse is that the views are completely inconsistent between apps. When I use the mobile app it shows that I have zero batteries hooked up....

The web app shows 6. No warnings. No faults. Have restarted twice now.

The same issue occurred last night. But the batteries never got below 52v. I've done the restart procedure but I cannot for the life of me figure out why the BMS is limiting my charge and discharge so hard... No faults I can see... Restarted a few times. At what point is this going to go back up to the normal BMS limits. It's behaving like I have two batteries not six, even though all six are clearly shown... I woke up to warning 26 and complete bypass to the grid...

None of the batteries were below 52 volts. I have the lithium protocol set to 1.

@ray You may have the same problem i having but I am on lead The system is reading the battery volt right but i have a 2nd battery disconnect if i turn the 2nd disconnect off the system could show the charging dc voltage This would be the System Charge Volt Limit(V) 59.5V but it pushing 56.0 volt out of the inverter so battery never get fully charged. Some of my power flashing to and found 1 of the 4 load breaker tripped L1 load to grid L1 (0 volts) not tripped L2 load to L2 grig(53volts) triped leg. none of the bars down as not tripped. Just a heads up.

Sort of, I realized it was not respecting the charge settings to 57.0 volts because BMS would disable charging at 56.

This stopped charging at 56.0 volts both times BMS disabled charging.

Switched to lead acid which has failed three times now... but now seeing this. Still it's unable to get Battery 2,3,4 to get a single cell to 3.7 before BMS Charge: Not Allowed

Trying again BMS is pushing us down to only 700 watts before we have hit 3.7 max-cell in any battery. And down to 529 watts

Still going, but the BMS is restricting power. None of the cells are close to 57 (or 3.7) yet... Strange that all cell are discharging right now.

And charging stopped without resetting a single cell.

What am I doing wrong here? Shouldn't these keep charging until all least once cell hits a max a high voltage max at 3.7 and then reset. Shouldn't I see them go to 100% SOC? Should I bump up my charge voltage to 58, although it is the BMS that is preventing the reset from happening it seems by limiting the charge current.

Fixed!

Using the correct battery type resolved the issue I was having above with the charging not kicking on! Thanks for your patience with me. I now am able to see the voltages of all the batteries, and will wait for them all to get to high voltage warning of 57 which should reset the SOC. Thanks again!!

Edit: just now saw Eric's helpful comment about my incorrect lithium type. That could have a lot to do with the issues I had below.. Will try that first!

I think I have it set up... Is there any way to do this without having to do lead acid mode?

The problem is that when it is in lead acid mode I no longer can see the battery details in the BMS. I tried to manually set the "AC Charge According to Volt" without switching to lead acid, but it didn't seem to do anything. Switched to lead acid and same params and it started charging right away. Start (54.3 volts) End (57 volts).

My plan now is to just let this run and hope that each cell hits 57 volts. I assume the BMS is not reporting data because I'm showing 6000 watts into the batteries but battery details all show a discharge current.

Settings that didn't do anything below when battery was below starting voltage

^ Battery was at 53.2 volts. Nothing. Switched to these lead acid params, set type to lead acid and it kicked off. But, now no voltage info from the BMS.

So I'm just going to let this run for a few hours. What I want eventually do is figure out how to get the system to use voltage for the Lithium to determine when to start charging. Maybe it works, but I need to play around with it more? I'll wait until this gets closer to be charged, and see if I can get this thing to charge up to 57 volts without having to lose the BMS comms.

Thanks! I will charge everything to 57 volts somehow. I think if I set the batteries to lead acid and set max voltage to 57 and do a quick charge? Normally charging stops at 56 overnight and they all are at 56, but it seems you have to trigger overvoltage to get the SOC to reset. So I will do that now.

If I may ask, what voltages do you use on your system or do you look for? I assume you have it set to charge using voltage instead of SOC? It's less me knowing what my charge state is and more of the inverter correctly knowing what the charge state is. I know how much juice is in my batteries because I know how much power was dumped into them, and how much I have used.

Where did you see or hear about the Self-Balancing via BMS?
I just want to make sure we clarify any confusion.
