Hi, yesterday, I noticed my PV started clipping around 12PM, when my 3 EG4 outdoor wallmount batteries attached to my 18kPV reached their set charge point and my house switched to grid export. My PV was at 11.1kW, then dropped to 10.6 kW and held there until available daylight dropped below 10.6kW of power to my panels some hours later.

Never had this issue before (my grid export is set to a limit of 12kW). The day prior, very very similar lighting conditions and actually slightly higher kW solar output and had no clipping around this event.

I checked my Tigo Optimizers when the clipping began: it definitely wasn't one of those going offline - all had the same output as expected.

The clipping occured only on PV2 and PV3 - PV1 continued to produce its normal output. Voltage on PV2 and PV3 rose commensurate with the clipping event, which makes sense. I have extensively searched online and on screen for any setting that might have caused this with no explanation. I checked radiator temperature and it was normal - 68 degrees, it was a very cool day outside (approx 50 degrees F) and the inverter is in the shade all day long (outside).

Graph of clipping event on April 4th:

2590

Yellow is PV, green is power flow to battery, orange is power flow to house, blue is power flow to grid. dotted grey line is max theoretical power output of my system given angle and placement of panels.

Graph of April 4th production with no clipping. Slightly higher power output because it was extremely windy and even colder outside.

2591

I definitely missed out on a few kW of production here. If this continues, I will be missing out on a serious amount of production here, and we need every kW and kWh we can get out of this system. Hoping EG4 customer support can help me out here.

I just installed a replacement EG4 18Kpv off grid. I am trying to troubleshoot the issues. Issue number one is the vBusP(v) output is low and highly variable. For instance, the "steady state" hoovers around 183.4 which I was told it should be around 195-200. The high for vBusP(v) can jump up to 211.4 like today. The former EG4 18Kpv had this same issue, but it would also drop very fast momentarily down to as low as 135.6, which was the cause of burning out 13 low voltage transformers in our house. Issue number two is that the voltage in the house is low as well. For instance, on the prior inverter the voltage in the house was pretty steady at 119.3v until you plugged in the Keurig and it would drop down to 117.5v (and the total loads for the house was a measly 2200w). On this new inverter, the "steady state" voltage is 118.4v and when you plug in the Keurig it pulls it down to 116.5v. I'm less concerned about the voltage as I am about the low voltage sag that is burning out these low voltage transformers that in our furnace, our furnace zone controller, our garage door openers, our exercise bikes, etc. This has gotten very expensive at this point. Has anyone else with an EG4 18Kpv had this same issue and if so, what did you do to correct it?

Morning, recently added my sixth battery to my system. It currently has two 314 indoor as one and two and four 280 indoor batteries. A grid boss a flexboss 18. And a flexboss 21. FlexBoss, 21 is The master and it is hooked to battery 6. Wear FlexBoss 18 is hooked to battery three. They share batteries. The newest battery which is id4 will not charge to the same voltage as my others. I've even changed my FlexBoss 18 to a master unwired the communication between the other batteries and the inverters and told it it only had the one battery and had it trying to charge up and it just still wouldn't. I've tried the SOC recal break and that seems to have not worked either. Any help would be great.

Master flexboss21 I'd is - 44700E0278

Slave flexboss18 id is - 52601N0070

How their ID is is deceiving because of how I had to string the communication being you must have three 14s as the primary one and two battery. I added them to an existing three battery system. As you know they just came out and not wanting to unwire and move my FlexBoss 21 to move that battery to become a primary was the reasoning of their positions. Also, if you go on to my network onto the system you will see for the batteries to of communicate correctly. I actually had to go down an ID it seems the 314s like to start it. Battery number zero. So my batteries are 0,1,2,3,4,5. That seems to be the only way that they wanted to communicate correctly. And all the wiring's correct with the custom-made network cables.
