I see the 6000xp can be programed to auto start a generator.  My current Generator does not have a two wire start option,  does have electric choke, electric push button start on the genertor and the remote start function.  Does anyone know of a device or work around  that can be installed to work to start the generator via inverter.  Currently have a generator and not looking to invest more money if at all possible  or a cheap solution,  hoping there is a method to wire my generator to the inverter for auto start.  Feel like i wouldnt be the only one in this situatipm adn some one must have a work around.

Could you share the make and model of the generator?

I looked through the schematic in the owner's manual and I am guessing that it could be done with using a meter and some testing of the wiring.

It appears that the gen has a latching push button start and should be able to do something with that.  However, you would probably violate your warranty, so I recommend calling the manufacturer and try getting specific methodology for hooking up a 2-wire start.

When/if you talk with them you will need to know the acceptable voltage and amps for the gen contacts.  here is a snip from the 6000xp manual:

I don't know if you solved your issue yet, but I used a generator control module from Atkinson Electronics--model: GSCM-WiFi. They were extremely helpful and provided a wiring diagram for my specific generator.
