I have a solar system with 14.5kw of Enphase with micro inverters and combiner box (all outside my house).
I understand that these two systems wouldn't directly interoperate, which is a sacrifice I'm willing to take for the significant cost reduction.
It seems like need to have this set up as an AC coupled system, with (e.g.) a EG4 18kPV Hybrid Inverter.
I'm curious if anyone else has this exact setup, and how well it works. I'd like to put the batteries and EG4 inverter in my basement, near the breaker panel. Also, grid outages are extremely rare where I live, but would this be functional in such an event?
