Hello, I'm in the final planning phases of a DIY grid tied PV system with a 12kPV as my inverter. I have my local utilities interconnection approval and just submitted the permitting application to my AHJ. I am located in California. My interconnection approval includes requirements for Advanced Inverter Function settings. I've copied those below.

Advanced Inverter Function Settings (AIF) Volt-VAR and Volt-Watt setpoints fields:

For use by contractor or person installing inverter.

Project Required AIF Settings: Empty such as "Standard AIF Volt-VAR and Volt-Watt setpoints" maybe referred to as CA Rule 21 Volt-VAR setpoints by some CA utilities

OR

Custom AIF Volt-VAR and Volt-Watt setpoints"}

VAR PRIORITY (Active power curtail) True
Nominal Voltage Setting (Volt)
Voltage Setting 0 /UnitVolt (V0)
Voltage Setting 1 /UnitVolt (V1) 0.92
Voltage Setting 2 /UnitVolt (V2) 0.967
Voltage Setting 3 /UnitVolt (V3) 1.033
Voltage Setting 4 /UnitVolt (V4)1.07
Voltage Setting 5 /UnitVolt (V5)
VAR Cap.Set0 as %inv. capacity (Q0)
VAR Cap.Set1 as %inv. capacity (Q1)
VAR Cap.Set2 as %inv. capacity (Q2) 0.0
VAR Cap.Set3 as %inv. capacity (Q3) 0.0
VAR Cap.Set4 as %inv. capacity (Q4)
VAR Cap.Set5 as %inv. capacity (Q5)
Optional:
PV_V1_VOLT_WATT 1.06
PV_P1_VOLT_WATT 1
PV_V2_VOLT_WATT 1.1
PV_P2_VOLT_WATT 0

I've searched quite a bit and can't find anything regarding AIF settings on EG4 inverters, though the 12kpv meets all the UL and other listings on the CA Energy Commission website, so I assume it's good. The closest I've found in any EG4 manual is page 31 of the "Device Monitoring  Settings Guide" which has various inputs available regarding grid connection (HV, LV, HF, LF) but otherwise information is sparse and I'm not sure how these settings relate to the AIF requirements from my utility.

Any help would be appreciated, as I want to make sure that my chosen equipment will be able to be configured in a way that meets my utility/AHJ requirements before purchasing.

Thanks.

I find it ironic that you have an interconnection agreement from your poco when what you are installing isn't actually - interconnected.

My AHJ requires an interconnection approval from the utility before they will even look at the permit application. So I had to submit all my plans to the utility and get them to approve it before submitting to the AHJ. Hence the question about AIF settings.
