In the event of an internet outage, is it possible to directly log into the ethernet adapter via the home network in order to monitor and adjust inverter settings?
To the best of my knowledge the only way it can be done is by using the app on a device like a phone or tablet.
The ability to change setting has been pretty limited in it though.
I would love to see some kind of local app for PC's that allows for full control of the device as well as instant monitoring. I realize those logs are on the web server, but I would like to at least see what is happening "now".
It also brings up another question. While checking to see if my app on my cell phone needed an update I saw another app "apparently" from EG4 called EG4 EX LLC, does anybody know anything about it? I am very hesitant to install because in the "fine print" it doesn't appear to be an actual EG4 app.

@joel-brodeur thanks, this question is specific to the ethernet adapter and not the wifi dongle though.
@helidriver I think the same applies. I do not believe that the inverters have a built-in webserver hence there wouldn't be anything to connect to. I could be wrong on that though.
If you have your ethernet cable from the inverter connected to your local network, and your local network has Wi-Fi, I believe you can you still connect with the device app? Not certain though. I may have to try this out. If I get an opportunity next time I am on site I will try it out.

@helidriver I did some reading on other forums, and it looks it might not be possible.
