All the below is for the 18Kpv:

  1. For Quick Charge, have more selections for the amount of time or allow the user to enter a time period… and remember what was last used.
  2. Also for Quick Charge: if the time chosen bumps into the start time for peak shaving, then put up a warning message and just stop charging before the beginning of peak shaving.  Right now, it just puts up an error message with no (or minimal) explanation.
  3. Add a button to allow topping off the battery. Right now, it seems the battery will not receive a charge if the battery SOC is above 95%.
  4. The AC Charge Enable section has the ability to choose either time-of-day or SOC/Volt. Unfortunately, you can only choose one or the other.  I would like to choose both such that the charging would only happen if both conditions are met.  Please add a third option for ‘AC Charge Based On’  of  ‘Both’.
  5. This is an issue with AC Charge enabled. After the battery reaches 100%, the system does not revert back to using solar power.  Instead, it powers the house using grid power.  I have to disable AC Charge Enable in order to restore (what I think is) proper operation.
  6. The internal LCD display used to show Watts, but in version 18 now shows kW. This is difficult to read/interpret and does not have much resolution.  I suggest showing only Watts until it is over 9999W and then switching to kW.
  7. Also on the internal display, add some space between the V for voltage and the power display. Right now, they are too close together and very hard to read.
  8. Many of my LED lights flicker when running off of battery.  This flicker is very annoying.  I have switched many of my lights to Philips Flicker Free bulbs and that has helped somewhat, but has not eliminated it.  For the price paid, this 18Kpv should be better at supplying a clean sine wave.  I am not sure if this has always been the case, but I have noticed it more since I updated the firmware to 1E1E.

Our house is mostly LED lighting, and I've never noticed this. FWIW, this unit is still on firmware FAAB-1C1C.

@jlankford That gives me some hope that it is just a firmware problem that can be fixed in another update.  I guess you should not upgrade to 1E1E until they fix this since, once upgraded, you cannot go back.

One more...for now:

9. On the phone app, there is the ability to start a Quick Charge, however there is no way to stop it as the Stop button goes away after a few seconds.  On a related note, there seems to be no way to start Quick Charge from the LCD screen on the 18Kpv.
