Looking for some guidance on connecting an 18kPV inverter with the Cerbo GX. I've seen people talking about using the Cerbo with EG4 batteries, but I haven't found anything about using the EG4 inverter with the Cerbo. I don't have any EG4 batteries, just big dumb lead acid monitored by the Cerbo. As it stands right now, the inverter is blind to the battery state aside from input voltage. I would like them to communicate if possible.

You cannot use the Cerbo GX to monitor the 18kPV.

Without battery communication to the inverter, everything will have to be based on voltage.

I believe you already have a Victron smart shunt on your system connected to the Cerbo. With FLA batteries, that's already the best solution you have for monitoring your batteries, if you're trying to have some idea of SOC rather than voltage. The 18K isn't going to track / calculate SOC for your FLA battery bank, so I don't see any advantage to trying to have the 18K and Cerbo communicating. Am I missing something you're trying to accomplish?

I would like the 18kPV screen to accurately show the battery percentage, that's really it. Right now it is random. Nothing major, just thought it would be nice to have it all synchronized.
