Discharging EG4 to sync

  1. I had a solar tech tell me to discharge my batteries to zero then recharge them to 100% ten times and this would zync my batteries.  I always believed that eg4 batteries should never be discharged to zero. Is there any validity in what this tech is saying?

I have seen and heard this said many times.  Whenever I have questioned deeper, what they "seem" to mean is to perform a full cycle on the batteries as per manufacturer spec.  20% SOC to 100% SOC for EG4 is my understanding.

Will Prowse just did a video on this as well.

As I said though, this is my understanding.

I always take all of this with a grain of salt and rely more on Manufacturer specs.
