Here is my wish list for things I would like to see in the Web Monitor and even the App:

1 - Gen start - I understand that there could be some pro's and Con's to this.  Pros of course are that we could start a gen remotely with greater ease. Cons that I see are, what if the SOC is already at or above the gen off set point, or what if the gen fails to start and get stuck with the contacts close and endlessly tries to start.  Here is some tentative start logic (may not be possible but...) Check SOC and see if it is in a valid start range, if so close contacts, wait a designated amount of time, say 2 minutes, check to see if power is coming in the gen port, if so, run until gen stop setpoint is reached.  If any of the above fail, then open contacts and log an alarm.

2 - Adjustable gen warmup and cooldown times.  My gen prefers a delay before accepting loads and deferent generator manufacturers have different suggestions as to what that delay should be.  Same with Gen cooldown, my understanding is that many generator manufacturers highly suggest running for a set amount time of no-load running before shutting down.  (off-hand I believe my reseller told me to set them on my old system at 60 sec warmup and a 120 sec cooldown, we get some fairly cold temperatures up here and I actually run mine at 120 warmup and 240 cooldown on my old system).  Would love to see this ability on the 6000xp

3 - Line item on the monitor pages to show self-consumption.  I understand that the various inputs and outputs will most likely never match up exactly due to round errors etc.  But I keep catching myself looking at the what's going in and wondering why it is not matching what's coming out.

4 - This one is probably very unique to my situation but there are a group of us that all have EG4 systems, and we all help monitor each other systems.  It would sure nice to assign a "read-only" account to another user.

Thanks,

JB

All of these are great suggestions!

I would like to also see the ability to monitor from the app my "Smart Load" data.

I am currently using "Smart Load" as a solar dump into an old conventional electric water heater.
