Hi, while preparing our wall (blocking) for mounting  the Indoor Wall mount + conduit box + 18k, we found the bracket placement diagrams are inaccurate . The video from eg4 is accurate https://youtube.com/clip/Ugkxm0oLMQz8HhSPi1T-Vmd5ZnrkCTw01K6g?si=FWgN-RoEogbn91b6.

Also,  please update doc to indicate bracket height in inches using 16ths of inches,  not decimals (ie Position the top of the mounting bracket on the wall at

the desired mounting height, with a minimum clearance

from the ground of 29.2 in. (742mm).  so, 29 1/4")

Until then, see  https://www.inchcalculator.com/inch-fraction-calculator/

Thanks for the input! I will speak with the Doc team about this.

@jarrett Following up.   I spoke with my electric inspector who suggested mounting on 3/4" fireproof plywood which may make mounting easier and eliminate the need for blocking directly aligned to the brackets.

I too was looking for dimensions to install blocking for my wall mount 280Ah and 18kPV's. I emailed the support desk and they stated they have no documentation. So the only mounting dimension I found was for the wall mount indoor battery at 26 3/4" to the top screw holes and the 29.2" to the top of the mounting plate from the floor. I also have the dimensions of each unit including the conduit box. So I didn't need to be 100%, maybe to the 1/4" would be good enough for blocking, but I took images from the documentation and extrapolated the dimensions using Adobe Illustrator. See Attached. These are estimated and extrapolated - use at your own risk.

EG4 approx blocking and dimensions for mounting

I found using a 3/4" plywood covered with 1/4" drywall helped make mounting way easier.  For example form my 18kPV and first battery I opened the wall to add blocking, but for my second battery I used the plywood (wide and tall enough to allow for screwing into existing studs ) sped up the process.

@bobandroslyn In Colorado, code requires a fire rated surface, like 3/4" fire rated plywood or 5/8" type-x fire rated drywall. Not sure what my inspector would do with 1/4" drywall even if the plywood is fire rated.
