At EG4, we believe in making solar energy solutions available to everyone. We've worked hard to keep our prices low so more people can go solar.
You might have noticed some price changes recently - these are because of the 20% tariff imposed by the government on March 4th. We know price increases can be frustrating, and we've tried to keep the impact as small as possible. Many of the price increases are less than the 20% tariff increase, while others are a bit more due to other price pressures.
We believe in US manufacturing to avoid these price swings. By working to make our products here in the U.S., we aim to reduce risks like this and keep delivering reliable products at obtainable prices. Some of our flagship products already benefit from these efforts and you'll notice little to no price increase on them. We're excited to share updates on our efforts to bring more manufacturing onshore in the coming months.
We really appreciate your understanding as we navigate these changes together, and we're grateful for your continued support in making solar energy a reality for more people every day.

I had just purchased a 3000EHV offgrid for $600 and was going to order a second unit once I had a chance to install and test it. Then the price went to $1049! So that second purchase is dead unless I cross the Canadian border and buy one for $700. However, at the new price point, I will now most likely start all over and just go with a Victron Multi-Plus II since its UL listed and matches my Victron inventory. I waiting for this administration to pull the plug on alternative energy all together......sad and stupid.
We sincerely apologize for the sudden price change and understand how frustrating this situation must be. We strive to provide high-quality products at competitive prices, but sometimes adjustments are necessary due to market conditions.
We truly appreciate your interest in our products and your initial purchase. If there's anything we can do to assist or provide more information, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We value your feedback and understand your concerns.
Actually, what I need to know is why you give the 'tariff of 20%' as an excuse to justify price increases that are ALWAYS more than 20% (in one case your price went up 54%). You're not just passing costs along to customers. You are adding 'price gouging' into your pricing. The best part about your products used to be the price competitiveness. Now that your products will be priced at this MUCH higher level, they become less attractive to price conscious consumers. The most attractive thing about your product USED TO BE the price paid for the feature set. Now, that advantage is going away. If you just priced in the increased cost of the tariff, then that would be understandable. GOUGING your customer makes you FAR less attractive to consumers.
Now that the Chinese tariffs rates have come down quite a bit, will the reduction be factored into prices going forward?
I don’t have an answer at the moment, but as soon as we have more information regarding any potential pricing adjustments, we will be sure to announce it to everyone.
