I have a GridBoss, FlexBoss21, 14.3kWh All Weather Battery, and a Briggs & Stratton 22kW Propane Generator.  When testing "Off Grid" or "Backup" mode I quickly realized that if we run too many electrical loads the Inverter will shut down. Is there any way to setup Smart Ports to "Load Shed" based on Amp draw from Limited 50 Amp Capacity of FlexBoss21?  I understand they can be set based on Time, SOC, or Volt - but if they can't be set to Total Amp Draw with Loads Shed according to their priorities, you would basically have to "Lock-Out" / "Disable" loads that would Overload the Inverter - and turn them on and off manually as needed - that's not "Smart"

Coming from the Generator world where Loads are shed based on either Generator Frequency (to prevent generator from bogging and shutting off) or Total Amp Draw based on Genset kW - it surprises me that the Smart Ports are not configurable to prevent overloading the Inverter.  That boggles my mind.  I would have to setup an additional Load Shedding setup by PSP to shed based on Total Amp Draw from Inverter.  All the parts and components are there to Shed Loads in the GridBoss based on Amp Draw (CT's on Inverter and on/off of Smart Load).  If this isn't an option, do you intend on making it an option?

As Thomas said, it is essential to shed loads when an inverter overload would shutdown power to the entire house.

Can anyone confirm there is no power based load shedding? That is, if the available power (inverter + grid (if available) + solar (if available) is not sufficient to power a smart load, turn it off.

Lack of power-based load shedding would prevent selecting EG4 as a ESS for my home.
