I am planning on putting inverter and battery in carport. It's a pony wall so I'd have to build something to stack inverter over the battery. I was hoping I could put the 12k inverter then 2 batteries to the right of it. Any suggestions on how to do this? Will the battery wires be long enough to place the first one to the right of the inverter? Can I do this with 3 boxes (one under the inverter and one over each battery?)
ALSO.. If anybody can confirm this all makes sense... My plan is... 18@440w panels (ground mount) divided into 2 strings, run 100 feet to the carport. In the carport I will have the inverter and 2 batteries, PV disconnect and ESS removed link The main panel is 35 feet from the carport. I will trench this, run 1" imc with #6 awg thwn to the main. Attach this to a 60 amp breaker in the main panel, run a CT back to the inverter and so the PV disconnect and ESS will be located next to the inverter. Finally, instead of having a critical loads subpanel. I will use a #8 extension cord to run my house off a generator interconnect that is already attached to my home panel (not the main panel).
Would a diagram help
