Can you provide some perspective on which EG4 products have been hardened for an EMP and what testing was performed to determine the adequacy of hardening? Is there any intention to test any of the other EG4 products for hardening like the 6k inverter?
Seems like I had heard that the LL batteries, the 12k inverter and the 18k inverter were hardened.
Currently, only the EG4 18kPV has been tested and certified for EMP hardening. You can find the testing reports here:
While the 12kPV does not hold this certification, it was designed with similar hardware. Given that the 6000XP is rated IP20, EMP hardening testing is unlikely for this model. However, I’ll update this thread if any additional inverters undergo testing in the future.
How about the LL V2 batteries?
The LL V2 batteries currently lack EMP hardening testing certifications. However, their manufacturing process closely aligns with the updated LL-S version. If we conduct EMP hardening testing on these or any product without EMP hardening, we will ensure the community is updated accordingly.
Good to know
