Hi, I'm planning on connecting a EG4 Chargeverter to my EG4 Indoor Wallmount, but there are zero difintive notes on how to get cables and ends, and where to buy these cables and ends, including product links. I'd like an option with and without (anthenol connector ends) external busbar.
Can someone from EG4 help here?
Have you contacted Signature Solar? They sell all required accessories and needed hardware.
Can I just avoid the busbar and attach Degsen connectors to the end of the lug end of each cable and connect to the Wallmount?
I would recommend the installation of an external bus for future expansion. However, this approach would also work.
Thank you, @jared. It would be good to know where I'd run into future expansion issues. If I expand from one to two wallmount batteries (next year) wouldn't I be good to go still? What about three wallmount batteries?...
When is this going to be a bottleneck?
@bobandroslyn I recommend adding an external bus after installing three Wallmount batteries to a single inverter.
So, once we need to add that third battery, a busbar will be needed? That makes sense.
@jared can you please confirm what crimp tool would work to connect the EG4 Chargeverter cable to the degsen connector? https://signaturesolar.com/eg4-powerpro-battery-cable-connector-black/
Signature Solar has a video in which she shows crimping for a degsen connector:

Sometimes the easiest solution is the best solution.
Sometimes not.
And, if you are looking for a crimp tool, here's a comparison of some options at different price points...
@jared Following up on this. The wire gauge from the chargeverter is much smaller than the battery connector ferrule. Making a good connection will be a challenge. EG4, please come up with a better cable solution for chargeverter to eg4 wallmount battery
Use the extra set of 2/0 (3/0 lug size) cables that came with the battery or purchase some. You can use a buss bar for the connection or use a Polaris inline connector if you don't want to crimp.
@bobandroslyn this has been noted, and we are actively looking for solutions this.
