Question Non EG4 inverter drive mini-split

Does anyone have practical experience with AC units that have an internal inverter?  We have seven Mr. Slim units from Mitsubishi in the house, this is rather than central HVAC.  These have an inverter with power factor correction, from the 240 volt input they produce variable voltage, variable frequency three phase power.  They start at 24 Hz and 186 volt and ramp up to 480 volt and I think 60 Hz.

If you ask AI if you can use your FlexBoss21 to run your inverter A/C unit it comes up with a list of reasons this is a problem.  If your next question is can you run your inverter based Mitsubishi AC from the FlexBos21 it only talks about load issues.

Has anyone done this or have first hand knowledge that it is supported?

I don’t have any and have never been around them, but 240 volt input is 240 doesn’t matter if it’s from the grid, generator or inverter. What is your concern?

@pawnee There are other electrical characteristics beyond voltage and frequency.  Things like power factor and kVA that are also considerations even if the FlexBoss21 puts out a "clean" sine wave.  

Practical example is UPS systems.  They are sized in kVA, you multiply that number by the power factor they are rated at, that number (always smaller) is the number of watts that the UPS can support.  We have UPS systems at work that are rated at 750 kVA, with a power factor rating of .8, so their actual rating is 600 kW.  In this example when you look at equipment the UPS is supporting you can only go to 600 kW, unless they run at less than .8 PF in which case they can support less

These are things that I know of that have to be taken into account, there are others.  Just know they are there do not fully understand, for sure can't do the math around with them.  

Inverter over inverter in a home application where the inverter load can be over 50% of total load is very atypical.  So I ask.
