Hi Folks - i am a new EG4 user - Flexboss 21 with 14.3kw battery, completely off grid. 10kw solar and just now adding a 240v generator. The electrician tied in a 30A generator plug into the system, via Grid input. Got the genny today and while it seems to be recognized in the monitor app, the current is not flowing. Tried to initiate using the app function "Start quick charge" but nothing is happening.

if anyone can I would be very grateful! EG4 support not open until tomorrow, and my installer is not familiar with the system.

I don’t have a flex boss but look and see what your gen charge amps are set at. I’m also assuming the boss has to have a low voltage/SOC setting in order to throw the contact and allow the gen to charge your batteries or run the house.

I have a gridboss that is grid connected and when I turn on the grid breaker to let energy flow the unit won't do actually let anything happen for about 5 minutes to make sure the grid is stable before switching. I could see it acting the same way with a generator. Maybe  a flexboss has the same logic. Did you wait a while before giving up?

Hi Gang! Thanks for all your comments. I had technicians out to look at it and spoke with several eg4 reps and seems the power is too dirty, they'll install the chargeverter next week and we should be golden. Keep you posted.
