I'm adding a second EG4 Wallmount battery (280Ah) to my 6000xp. The second battery will be about 8 foot away from the inverter and first battery. Will a standard Amazon RJ45 Cat 6 Ethernet Patch Cable work both for comms and for updating the firmware?
Update: The cable I "need" is primarily for comms connection between the two batteries
You can use a Standard Cat 6 cable for communications between batteries. You will need custom cables for the BMS and LCD updates.
- BMS: RS232, pins 4&5
- LCD: RS485, pins 1&2
