I would love it I could schedule the 18kpv mode changes. I am using mine as a battery backup. I have solar and just grid tie any extra back the the grid and keep the batteries at 100%. Most hands off approach I can come up with but also is the most efficient. What I'd like to do to make it more efficient is to schedule hours that I want it in standby. That way I can take advantage of the low idle consumption during non-solar hours. There is no reason to be running the inverter when the sun is down but I can't grid tie without inverters. I'd like to have the inverters "kick on" at 8am and then switch to standby a 5pm. Times will vary at different times of the year. Doing this will save 50w * 15hrs (example). When I'm only getting paid $0.03/kw every bit helps and 50*15*30 = 22.5kw/mo of waste.
