The mods might want to move this but I thought it would be a good idea for questions about the 18k. I’ll start if off with a question and end with a comment.
I worry about not having things in the setup configured correctly and shorting my Lifepower 4 V2’s life expectancy. So here is something the really bothers me. I was told by SS techs that my batteries should be cycled from 47-56 volts for optimal battery life so that’s how I have them set. While charging if the 18k says they are at 53.3 volts and I check the battery voltage with meter it reads 53.3, but when they reach 100% SOC the 18k shows them at 55 volts. If I check them with a meter the voltage on the batteries is 56 volts. so why the difference?? Float voltage is 54 and absorb voltage is 56.4 in the settings. I see on the app there is a battery priority setting and voltage priority setting but not sure if these settings would make a difference. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
My comment is EG4 would do all its customers a huge favor and probably decrease calls to support if they put out a comprehensive manual/explanation for each setting on the 18k screen and app. Maybe it’s out there but I haven’t found it. Thanks
if you have a 18kpv question post it here
I do agree with this 100%.
I agree that that would be helpful and not just for the 18K but for all products. Heck I would even be willing to help reviewing the 6000XP documentation.

Sometimes the easiest solution is the best solution.
Sometimes not.
Thought I’d post a short video of the brownout that I’m still fighting.
Here’s a question. My voltage example works from 46-55.3
If my 18k says the batteries are 52.2 and I measure them with a meter they are 52.2 volts but when the 18k screen shows them at 100% (+56 volts) it says 55 volts. When I measure them they are at 56 or a tenth or two more. Not a big deal but just wondering if anyone else has seen this.
Since this thread is such a hot topic 🥴I thought I’d ask another question on proper 18k shutdown here’s how I do it.
1) Kill PV
2) put 18k in Standby mode
3) starting with the last V2 turn breaker off and turn off BMS ending with the battery hooked to the inverter.
4) kill battery and grid breakers
Start up is reverse order turning on breakers then starting with the battery hooked to the inverter turn on breaker then BMS and so on.
