Looking to understand the applications of LL vs LIFEPOWER and which would be better for my solar installs and for what reasons. I do like the LCD on the LL series but otherwise is the battery effectively the same for solar usage??Β Β
With the launch of the Lifepower4 V2, the models are now quite similar, both offering rapid shutdown capabilities, multiple battery protocols, and 64 dip switch IDs for parallel BMS communication. The main difference is that the Lifepower4 V2 lacks an LCD display, so protocol settings must be configured through protocol dip switches. The Lifepower4 V1, on the other hand, does not support multiple protocols or rapid shutdown and is limited to 16 dip switch IDs for parallel BMS communication.
Thank you Jared for that explanation. For practical purposes it won't really matter to the end user then which battery is selected unless they are in area requiring rapid shutdown(not here), it seems more for ease of install and diagnosis for us service guys, which is pretty cool alsoΒ Β π
