EG4 24000 btu hybrid starts up and pulls both DC and AC for a brief time, then DC drops to 20 watts and bounces around between 20 and 50 watts. 8 450 watt panels supplying 390 volts hooked to unit. Unit works great on AC, but will not pull DC. Switch on AC limiter and DC shuts off completely. Purchased all from Signature Solar, spoke with customer support, they didn't like one ground connection, I fixed and now they will not answer the phone or return messages. Anybody have this problem with the DC not being used by the Hybrid Solar Mini-Split?

Have you removed the AC connection and see if it runs with only PV?

@eg4eric It will not even start without AC.

Just to be clear, do you have 390V or 290V?

How long have you had the mini split?

Did this start from the moment you installed the unit or did it start later?

@eg4eric From the install at the beginning of the month.

I apologize for the delayed response. Because it started since the install, it could be that it was a defective unit, if you are still having this issue, I recommend reaching out to your distributor for a replacement.

@eg4eric I have and they, Signature Solar claimed to have informed EG4 twice with a warranty claim. So who's doing what? I don't know and I'm not happy with everybody. Also, if you are with EG4, find a Brightmount extension that Signature solar did not sell me that I need to finish the other EG4 system that is not working due to not have 4 panels on the mount.
