[Solved] 12000XP - clarification needed, is the RDS Normally Open (NO) or Normally Closed (NC)?

There appears to be contradictory information in the 12000XP manual around what type of external RSD E-Stop disconnect switch to use, so I'm looking for clarification and possible a manual update.

On Page 30, section 9.1 EXTERNAL RSD, the first bullet point states:
- "The external switch must have normally open contact type for emergency shutdown."

Later down the page in the wiring diagram, next to the picture of a yellow/red E-Stop button, it states:
- "Provide 12VDC/1.5A output when inverter is on. Cut off supply 12VDC when Emergency stop switch is ON and RSD is shorted"

So which one is it?

- If the text in the bullet point is correct, this would imply a Normally Open (NO) switch is required. Where the circuit is open (disconnected) in the default state. And when you press the button the circuit is closed (connected), allowing current to flow.

- If the text in the picture is correct, this would imply a Normally Closed (NC) switch is required. Where the circuit is closed (connected) in the default state. And when you press the button, the circuit is "cut off" or opened (disconnected), stopping the current flow.

I will verify this information and update it with the correct details for the RSD relay.

The dry contacts for the external RSD are NO on the GND/RSD port.

If the wiring is the same as the 6000xp, then the manual is correct.

The RSD button, requires a NO contactor.

The text with the image is regarding the 12Vdc power supply for the "Tigo" in this case not the contacts for the RSD.

When the RSD is activated the (The NO contactor is depressed) the power at the 12Vdc supply ports is shutdown to trigger a loss of comms on the Tigo in turn shutting down the panels due to loss of communications.

If you are using a Tigo and it is getting power from the 12Vdc supply ports let me know and I can offer some suggestions.

Keep in mind that all of this is dependent on whether or not the 12000xp is the same as 6000xp in these regards.

Thanks,

JB
