We're all dealing with the uncertainty of trumps trade war and herky jerky approach to tariffs.  EG4 has recently raised prices in response to these tariffs, which is a simple lesson in how tariffs work.

Is this part of the "temporary pain" trump and musk are talking about, so that we can give tax breaks to billionairs?

Tariffs cause short-term pain, but long-term effects are uncertain still.

@danielchloe So far the impacts will be long lasting damage to our international relationships.  We've made enemies of Canada and Mexico, and in return we're gaining .... Russia?  Huge long term damage.

And wine is more expensive!  And eggs... everything is more expensive with the new trump taxes... And retirees lost a chunk of their 401k's, so less dollars to spend on solar. Consumer confidence is lower than last year.

Maybe it's patriotic to pay more?  That's what fox news is telling us.

@bobandroslyn Notice no one is complaining about egg's anymore?  Funny how that just disappeared in the news.

I am currently interested in buying EG4 LifePower4 or EG4-LL batteries and I had the same question.

It would be interesting to know if EG4 is already or even actually paying any tariffs due to importing components or complete units from China.

I am in canada and any tariff costs after I actually buy more batteries may make the purchase unaffordable.

I did contact a broker and they asked where are the batteries made. I am unable to get a clear answer from either EG4 or Signature Solar.

Does anyone have insights on this at all?
