Brought two new12000XP inverters in parallel with two EG4 280Ah wall mount batteries in parallel online 1 week ago. One of the 4 fans (2nd from top) on the Slave inverter continuously screams at high speed whereas that other 3 fans on that inverter and the 4 fans on the Master inverter remain off or at low speed. They are in a cool basement. Lowering fan speed remotely for Fans 1 and 2 had no affect. Anyone else have this issue and a fix?f

Are you getting any error or warning codes on the inverter?

Also, is the inverter running the latest firmware?

@eg4eric

Hello, there are no warnings and the EGR tech helped load the latest firmware for both inverters last week.

Really need a fix for this noisy fan that is eating into my battery storage.

Thanks

Could you please provide a video showing this issue with the fan? I would like to share it with my manager so we can work toward a solution.

Hello Eric,

will try to post the video I just took.  Hopefully you can find a way to turn off the one fan that is high speed. Again when the inverter is off for awhile when all components are cooled off, fan immediately goes th high speed when inverter is turned on, so it can’t be a hot component in the inverter that needs cooling.

If the video didn’t come through, can I send it to your email. Uploading on my cell doesn’t seem to work on the forum

We will have to replace the inverter for you. Were you provided a ticket number from our Tech support team? If so, can you please provide that number?

Also, can you please send me a direct message with your contact details, including name, address, email, and number.

Can you also provide a picture of the inverter from the front and a picture of the inverter's serial number

Hello, thanks for looking into this issue.

I did get ticket # 155867 for the SOC mismatch between my two batteries but don’t remember getting one for the high speed fan. Will send pictures in next reply
