I just swapped out two 6000xp’s for the Flexboss/Gridboss combo. So far it has been performing very well. The only issue I had was that the PV was getting limited to half the voltage. I figured it out so you can install yours hopefully with no issues.
On the PV input I had ten 400w panels on input one and two on the left input (let’s call it the A input) and I had five 400w panels on the right input for PV 1 & 2. All inputs were getting around 170v input when I knew the 10 panel strings should have been around 360v. Well turns out the Flexboss (and I have heard the 12000xp) will limit the PV input to the lowest input on the MPPT on each # 1 & #2. I moved both 10 panel strings to input one and both 5 panel strings to input two and all is well. Now I have to add double the PV panels to max it out.
Very nice. Will we be seeing a couple 6000xp's hitting eBay sometime soon. 🙂
Sometimes the easiest solution is the best solution.
Sometimes not.
