I have 4 growatt 5000 inverts and 6 eg4 lifepower batteries. I believe they are version 1, as they do not look like v2. The batteries do have a screen monochrome screen on front. I am trying to update the batteries purchased the batteries the end of 2021. I do have the correct cable.
For BMS tools V1 windows - the only version I can find. I have the latest drivers installed and the provided patch cable(rj45-usb). I select baud rate of 9600 and connect cable as described in documentation. I get an error stating the com is in use, but it is not. I have tried all addresses and ports on battery. I only have one battery connected. I cannot connect to this battery using bms tools.
For BMS test the software opens a port successfully plugged into the rj45 jack on battery or either communication rj45 jacks. parameters are set to what is called for in the documentation. When I switch to the batinfo tab the com rj45 ports will blink as the program is trying to establish a connection. The error on the software tells describes a failure on that address. I have flipped the dip switches and added addresses to the sequences nothing has worked.
I am unable to get boot information or data from battery.
What am I missing?
