I am trying to help my neighbor update his Wallmount battery firmware.
The reseller sent him an RS485 cable and said to use that.
We tried it and it seems that we cannot get communication between the battery and the PC.
Which cable is used for Firmware updates on the Wallmount? RS 485 or RS 232?
I thought the 485 cable was for BMS Tools and the 232 cable was for firmware??

Is this the Indoor or the Allweather battery? Also, both the RS485 and the RS232 cable would be needed for a firmware update.
@jared For reference this is the documentation we were using to perform the firmware update.

@joel-brodeur the RS232 cable would definitely be needed. The Indoor does not currently have a firmware update for the RS485.
Why wouldn't this cable be supplied with the battery or at least offered when buying the battery?
Funny thing (not) is both his supplier and my supplier both said that the cables needed for firmware updates HAD been supplied.
Kinda depressing but presumably we have on the way.

If you want to be more depressed. I had to get 3 before I could get my V1’s updated 😀 first two cords were bad. Just my luck
