Yes. I can do that during the day tomorrow, 4/17 during the day EST.  What time works for you?

Now good for you. If so I can start the test at 3pm or 3:15pm EST.

I also noticed that the inverter's firmware was not completely updated. This can happen when there is no solar input to the system, and it may lead to issues with the inverter’s performance.

@eg4eric

Hi Eric,

Can you explain this statement? Are you saying that for those of us that have a battery backup system (no PV), that there's a risk of getting a bad firmware update because there's no power continuity from solar (i.e. maybe during a power recycle and the grid and battery relays are switched off)?

FYI, I have a 18Kpv that's still on original firmware (1C1C). I've never updated because the system works OK, and now you have me concerned that I should never try to update.

@eric, let me know if you are able to provide any insight from our test last week.  Also, do you have any notes on how to complete the firmware update per your prior note?

Updating the community, and @eric.  I did get some insight from SignatureSolar support.  According to them using the Quick Charge does cause issues and is somewhat know as a bug.

Thank you to @eric for helping, and also to the @SignatureSolar support team.

I'll keep testing out the configuration for my ESS, and avoid the Quick Charge as it's buggy.  It'd be great to allow this to work, I have ideas on how it could be made better.
