I just bought a Chargeverter GC and plugged it into my busbar that feeds 2 Orient Power 48V 100 Ah 5.12Kwh LiFePo4 batteries. I have it connected to a 7,000 Watt 240V split phase gas electric generator.

I noticed that it never goes any higher than 20 Amps on the DC side.

Should I change some configuration?

@papote I would verify that the current is not set to 20A in the settings.

@jared i has moved up to 36A, but wouldn't go over 20A. I haven't tester yet with raining the voltage, yet.

@papote What is the model of the generator? Also, can you show a picture of how the connections are made?

Probably a silly question but... I notice that the recommended charge rate on that battery is 20A but "can charge up to 100A".  Could the BMS be regulating the charge current.  Maybe there is a setting in the BMS that you can set to increase it?  I don't know much about the Chargeverters, I am assuming that this open loop or is the comms between the battery and the chargeverter?

Just an idea.

Thanks,

JB

Raised to 56V and now it goes all the way to 100Amps.

Is there any way to have it communicate with the batteries that use Pylon protocol on RS485?

@papote EG4 protocol is currently the only supported option on the Chargeverter GC.
