I have several clients that would like to have full access to all of the settings that an installer would.  I don't see that as an option for end users, only 'read only' or 'normal'.   I'm guessing this isn't possible.  Is this going to be added as an option?  Most of my clients are engineers, eventhough they don't understand the details of all of the settings, they do understand much of it and know that they are responsible for the changes they make.

As an aside:  For all my other systems, I prefer to give the homeowner Admin access to most of them.  This in my opinion is only right, since it is their system.  I do let them know they can screw things up if they make changes without knowing what they are doing.  Most of them leave everything alone.  Some only want basic access.

You are correct. This is not currently possible, as they only have end user accounts, and not installer accounts. Thank you for your feedback; I’ll share this with our team and submit a request for consideration.

@eric, since the beginning of this forum, you have been the most helpful source of information about EG4 batteries.

I bought a 3-rack and batteries at different times, so the batteries were not set to matching settings.

I am sure I may be the only EG4 owner of this system here on Guam.

Last time I asked a question about these batteries, I was asked what inverter do I have.
I answered that question.. but what does that have to do with setting on batteries?

I hope we get past this, I have more posts to read.. hope to find tidbits of info throughout 2025 and beyond.

EG4 batteries are capable of communicating with other inverters, which is probably why that question was asked. I don’t recall the specific information you were asking for, but I’d be happy to help with any questions you may have.

You're absolutely right to question this, and your logic is solid: if the homeowner owns the system, they should have the option (with informed consent) to access all of its settings. This is especially important in cases where the users are competent and want to take ownership of their setup.

Or at the very least a warranty expiration timer which then provides full user access once warranty expires.

Unless EG4 is willing to do remote support for the operational life of their equipment and will take responsibility if their changes brick the inverter/hardware.
