When I connect the CTs to my feed as labelled I get weird readouts from the LCD on my 18Kpv inverter but when I switch them the readings make sense. L1 is the left main panel black wire branch all of the way from the load center through the backfeed breaker into the inverter L1 lug. I checked this a dozen times to be sure but has anyone else had issues like this or am I "doing it wrong"?
I am using a critical loads subpanel and have some battery storage but no PV panels just to keep things simple. Split phase 240 basic L1 L2 setup. Nothing fancy. Black is always L1, red always L2 but this is my first time connecting this kind of equipment so just need to put my mind at ease that I'm not backfeeding into the grid because I am not allowed to do so yet.
Arrows point towards the inverter. I rebooted. The basics covered. Just a sanity check.
