I've seen it mentioned that certain monitoring capabilities are related to the WiFi dongle and its firmware version. But when I looked at my device specs using Configuration - Dongles it shows my Serial number, Dongle Type and Station name but "Firmware" is blank.

Is there a way to update the WiFi dongle firmware?

In order to update your dongle, you would need to have a BJ, BG or BE dongle. You can identify which dongle you have by looking at the first to letters of the dongle's serial number.

@eric

It is a BA dongle which was purchased in July of 2024. How does this get upgraded so the firmware can be updated to enable a complete set of monitoring capabilities? Or can I do this with an ESP32 on the CAN bus?

@dougl as of now, the BA dongles don't have the capability to be updated. Feel free to send me a DM and I can look into getting one for you.
