Over the past few months, my house has experienced several grid power outages. Most are only a few seconds. I've noticed that I can not see these at all on the web interface under the events page. It appears that this events page has stopped updating at all. The only way that I see that the grid power went out or that the grip had a power dip is by looking on the physical display of my 12kPV inverter. I'll attach a picture of the most recent alarms from the physical inverter as well as what I see from the website.

It appears that I used to get notifications and the website would show outages. This is not happening anymore. Note that I have a network dongle that uses a physical network cable (no wifi).

eg4 monitor events

 Thanks,

Paul

Does your system have PV and batteries?

A grid outage would not necessarily cause an alarm or warning to appear on your system. You could also look at the data history and look for the inverter to switch from grid to battery or if it is using battery to power loads, you will not see anything different.

I have two PV arrays and a battery bank of 4 EG4 batteries.

As you can see from the monitor history, it did previously note "W016: No AC Connection" events. I'm assuming that If I go through the "Alarm record" on the physical display that I will find a corresponding alarm code entry for that. I would think that the EG4 monitor site should absolutely be able to report what I see on the physical system's "Alarm record" page. Something is broken.

Does EG4 have a bug reporting page?

Paul

@thomaspugmail-com I will look into this. Did the power go out, causing the dongle to turn off at the time the grid went down? If so, the dongle might not have recoded the alarm if it lost signal.
What firmware version is your inverter running on?

The dongle is physically plugged into my EG4 12kPV, so I doubt it lost power... its power comes from the inverter 😉
