6000xp will it blend PV power with Grid power?

I am currently using my old Growatt 5000 as a power supplier to my 3 ton conventional heatpump. When there is PV input it automatically blends it with the grid power to reduce my power bill. The Growatt also is set to charge my batteries, BUT not use the batteries for running my load.

On the old inverters the setting would be SUB for (solar>utility>battery). This is so helpful because I do not want to use my batteries for big loads like clothes drier, stove etc, but I do like that I can use the available PV to "assit" or even fully cover the load when the sun is out nice and bright! BUT i can't seem to figure out how to set up my 6000XP to do this. I kind of liked the old style settings of "SUB, SBU, UTI, SOL, etc on all the Legacy EG4 products. Those settings just seemed so strait forward and simple. But the 6000xp instructions don't seem to "have what I am looking for." Will the 6000xp even do what I need it to do?

(I keep thinking surely the 6000xp will do everything my $500 refurb Growatt from SS will do!)

Does the 6000xp even have the ability to blend solar and grid to run my loads, and use PV to charge my batteries, but not "use any battery power for loads?

If so what is the setting?

Thank you in advance!

Yes. I use the 6000xp, and when I know I'm going to draw a heavy load, I sometimes use the "AC First" mode, (under Application Settings) which directs all the PV input to the battery, and just draws enough grid power to run house loads plus maybe about 50 extra watts for battery. As we have "peak hours" during the summer, on a cloudy day, I used that setting for an hour or so before peak loads start, just so I don't accidentally use the more expensive grid power by running battery down.

Hello friends, recent I bought a 6000xp. I change a Growatt for this inverter and the problem that I have is when I turn on the grid breaker, a couple of minute its start to blink a internal relay and the loads turn off, then on repeatedly. With solar and battery, no problem, but when you turn the grid breaker on, the nightmare start.

Yes, it's called "AC First" in my web-based EG4 monitor. Found under Application Settings on the Maintenance Tab. Remember to click "Read" button every time you open Maintainence tab.

For the EG4 Monitor Ap, choose the Settings wheel to access the Application Settings, and you will see the AC First settings.

To run PV and AC power loads simultaneously, you would need to use the GEN port for AC coupling or generator power. However, to prioritize PV for charging the battery without using battery power for loads, there are two methods:

  1. Set an AC First start and end time in the settings. This will bypass loads to the grid and allow PV to charge the battery during that time.

  2. Enable Battery Eco mode. This mode will switch to bypass once the end-of-discharge value is reached, allowing the battery to be charged by PV power alone, provided AC charging is disabled.
