We are aware of an issue where a W28 overload fault occurs when the battery reaches 100% SOC on firmware version 0304 for the 12000XP. Our team is actively working to resolve this and release a permanent fix as soon as possible.

In the meantime, a temporary solution is to change the battery type to lead-acid and limit the charging voltage:

  • 55V for 16-cell batteries
  • 52.5V for 15-cell batteries

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to address this issue promptly. Stay tuned for updates!

Firmware version EG4_ceaa-0405 for the 12000XP was released this morning, addressing the false W28. If you're experiencing this issue, please update your 12000XP to the latest firmware.

Here is the changelog I received:

ceaa-0405

Based on ceaa-0304

  • Improved the W028 issue in off-grid and paralleled systems
  • Improved the W028 issue in off-grid and no battery systems

@eareyes20 Can you share your inverter's serial number or station name so we can look into this issue for you?
