Hi all, does any one have the 12000XP Luxpower protocol text/details/commands? I am trying to get a Pace 200A BMS communicate with the 12000XP. When I select Luxpower or Pylon, the 12000XP correct reads the SOC of the 2 batteries combined and does a good job calculating the average SOC of the 2 batteries and reporting that. For some reason, the BMS is telling the inverter not to charge so I am getting that charge forbidden error. I tried another battery with a similar Pace BMS and got the same result. When the inverter is in lead acid mode, the batteries charge but not when they are supposed to be communicating. Use communication mode, the correct SOC is reported to the inverter, and the inverter can discharge the batteries but is not allowed to charge them....even when the SOC is down in 60%. I'm using the Pace 200A BMS.
Thanks in advance.
Do you have the EG4 120000XP or do you have the SNA US 12K LuxPower inverter?
@henderson
Usually, communication works with Luxpower protocol which is Lithium Type: 6. Is that the protocol you tried on the inverter?
EG4 inverters are designed to communicate with EG4 batteries and those listed on the inverter’s battery compatibility list. While some users have been able to establish communication between the inverter and certain third-party BMS units, it's not always successful.
For the most reliable performance, I recommend setting the inverter to Lead Acid mode and allowing the batteries to charge and discharge based on voltage.
