Hi, yesterday, I noticed my PV started clipping around 12PM, when my 3 EG4 outdoor wallmount batteries attached to my 18kPV reached their set charge point and my house switched to grid export. My PV was at 11.1kW, then dropped to 10.6 kW and held there until available daylight dropped below 10.6kW of power to my panels some hours later.
Never had this issue before (my grid export is set to a limit of 12kW). The day prior, very very similar lighting conditions and actually slightly higher kW solar output and had no clipping around this event.
I checked my Tigo Optimizers when the clipping began: it definitely wasn't one of those going offline - all had the same output as expected.
The clipping occured only on PV2 and PV3 - PV1 continued to produce its normal output. Voltage on PV2 and PV3 rose commensurate with the clipping event, which makes sense. I have extensively searched online and on screen for any setting that might have caused this with no explanation. I checked radiator temperature and it was normal - 68 degrees, it was a very cool day outside (approx 50 degrees F) and the inverter is in the shade all day long (outside).
Graph of clipping event on April 4th:
Yellow is PV, green is power flow to battery, orange is power flow to house, blue is power flow to grid. dotted grey line is max theoretical power output of my system given angle and placement of panels.
Graph of April 4th production with no clipping. Slightly higher power output because it was extremely windy and even colder outside.
I definitely missed out on a few kW of production here. If this continues, I will be missing out on a serious amount of production here, and we need every kW and kWh we can get out of this system. Hoping EG4 customer support can help me out here.
