I’ve always wanted to try my hand at Linux programming and getting a Raspberry Pi to talk to Solar Assistant and feed information into Grafana. This journey has resulted in my own monitoring page.

With a few more add-ons like Tailscale I can now see my system anywhere in the world when I have a Wi-Fi/phone signal. It was an adventure, for sure.  What I would now like to do is by-pass the SA module altogether. Not to imply anything against SA, it’s worked flawlessly for a few years now.  I just want to be able to figure this out.

So I’m wondering if the EG4 18kPV | 6000XP Monitoring Adapter with cat 5/6 cable could be something that would give me that opportunity. Polling the data output from the adapter I’ll figure out but I just want to be sure that what I’m asking is possible.

Appreciate anyone chiming in on this.
