When my well (30A double pole) comes on, my lights flicker initially - then while the well is running - I get intermittent flickering. Â In some cases it's so bad that my exterior lighting which is set to Dusk to Dawn - will turn off, them after the well goes off - turn back on. Â I have worked with Signature solar on this and they did make a few adjustments to the batteries (priority I think) - this helped a little - but it's still happening. Â I have attached my Load center sub panel diagram. Â BTW - max wattage draw when the well is running is 8.2kw.

When my well pump was doing that, I powered down my entire house and I went through all of my terminals in the breaker panel and re-tightened them. It fixed my issue completely. I know there may be other issues, but you could try that if you haven't already. You might also check into getting a soft start for your pump. I am not overly familiar with them, but my understanding is that it is a capacitator that provide enough power to get the pump running initially. I believe you would want to match the soft start to your specific pump make and model so you would need to contact the pump manufacturer.

Sometimes not.
