EG4 supplies cables for its 18kPV inverters with a Degson connector on one end. These cables are quite short, making it difficult or impossible to reach other than the first battery.
EG4 PowerPro batteries with Degson connectors (a Chinese knockoff of Amphenol SurLok) come with 42 inch cables, adequate for most purposes.
EG4 wiring recommendations are inherently unbalanced and thus stress battery #1 unduly.
My suggestion to EG4 is to offer an 8-port busbar utilizing the same Degson connectors as the PowerPro batteries.
With such a busbar, it would be elegant and easy to create a perfectly balanced plug-n-play system.
The balanced-wiring alternative of "diagonal wiring" is not attractive since one would have to make one's own custom cables. And with excessive current flow, double-cabling is needed as well as 2X longer cabling in practical terms.
Thank you for your suggestions! We appreciate your detailed feedback and insights. I will submit this suggestion to our team for consideration.
