Hello, I have a ticket submitted by Signature Solar via email to help sync firmware versions for my three eg4 xp6000 inverters. Two of them are on version ccaa-1A1111 which I was told by Signature Solar is beta. The other inverter is on ccaa-191011. I have no problems with the two units on the newer beta version of firmware and am happy so far. I don't mind beta testing.

However, the other unit is currently turned off due to several issues. One issue is that the unit keeps over charging my battery bank for that unit. I have two 100 ah open loop lithium-ion 51.2-volt dc house batteries wired in parallel. All three units provide power to my load center that I created where output is going to a couple of circuits wired to transfer switches. Another issue is that at night, the inverter switches to status of 40 (Battery off-grid). Twice the inverter recovered several hours in the day and started charging the batteries from solar. However, a couple of days ago, it didn't switch operating modes. So, the batteries were drained down, so I turned off and shutdown the inverter. I charged both batteries manually back up to 100 percent.

I do not have grid power supplying power to any of the three inverters as of yet. I have eight lithium-ion 12-volt eco-worthy 280 ah batteries split into two groups of four wired in series for each of the remaining two inverters. Right now, I'm able to make it through the night running only two units with the eight batteries, however I would like to move forward and add other circuits and get the other unit up to the same firmware.

I've been a software developer for well over forty years now and am tech savvy. I have tried to find an alternative to downloading firmware versions and uploading them to the device; however, it looks like the mobile app and website are the only method for us regular users. It would be interesting to see what tools your technical staff has on hand.

At any rate, I just put my ticket in this last Saturday, and I know you are busy. I thought I would setup my forum account, post here anyway. I'm working on some pictures now so I can post to the "show your system" new member forum. I'm excited to work with eg4 and these inverters. I am replacing a system I build from scratch that was 12 volts and used a raspberry pi to turn on/off grid chargers when it was too dark or cloudy for solar.

I was able to cut my power bill in half, however now with 48 volts and modern equipment, I can get A/C and the clothing dryer as well as the rest of my house circuits up. Regards, Vic (skunkworks - I live and work remote on a street named Skunk Ranch Rd)
