BACKGROUND:
I have been having internet connectivity issues for the past month and a half. Part of that was my fiber ISP, and a smaller issue was because of my personal wifi here.
My ISP was having real issues, that they admit to yet refuse to elaborate on what the issue was, yet the issues were still present yet less prevelant than they had been.
SOLUTION:
I went to Starlink, which I had in '22 but lured away by fiber. My old system (gen2) had been off line for a couple of years just setting in the garage. I go to hook it back up and it would connect but not update. I contacted Starlink who sent me a new Gen 3 system.
still an issue:
The new router for Starlink has two output LAN ports. One I use for my house wifi and the second for my detached garage. Think of it as two VLANS. The garage systems handles my two EG18KPV's and my garage door link sysetm.
Well after two weeks of working perfectly, the LAN port to my garage system dumps (another on order under warranty). I went back and merged with a managed switch so all is working as before with my one fiber ISP connection.
It took me two days to figure out why the reporting of my two 18KPV's were off line. Everything else worked (or so I thought) until I wanted to remotely open my garage door... Offline as well. That led me to find the defective LAN port on the Starlink router and the proven workaround.
So... My QUESTION is:
IS there any way to recover two days of missing data from my 18KPV's?
