Hi All, I'm trying to decide between going hybrid or off-grid. Can the off-grid inverter charge from the grid? Can it hook up to my circuit box so it can power all the outlets in my home? If so, what is the advantage of going with the hybrid option?
Our off-grid inverters, like the 6000XP, can charge batteries from the grid and even bypass AC power directly to loads. The key advantage of using a hybrid inverter, such as the 12kPV or 18kPV, is that they allow you to sell excess energy back to the grid and offer on-grid functionality, like grid-assist to support loads, rather than simply bypassing power to them.
