Can someone point me to the documentation that describes the EG4-12000XP's modes and sequence of operation.  This would be something like a ladder diagram or logic sequence.  I would like to see how the logic switches from solar to battery to grid and any timers and/or sequencing that manages the changeovers.

You can find the working modes in section 12.3 of the manual. The link is attached below.

Thanks for the reply.  That was helpful, but I was hoping for more sequence information.  At the moment, I'm trying to do a simple switch from Solar/Battery to Bypass, based on state of charge.  The conditions are:

-No scheduling is setup

-Stop discharge capacity is 30 %

By observation, it switches from Solar/Battery to Bypass (i.e. utility) when SOC < 30% and then back to Solar/Battery when SOC > 40%.  The data is in the attached screenshot.

What is the 10% based on?  Once it switches from one mode to the next, changing settings has no effect (maybe until the next transition); how does that work (i.e. sequence)?  The LCD display shows PV/Batt/Grid/On or PV/Batt/Grid/Off; is On/Off the bypass mode?  How do schedules interact with the transitions?  How are other settings interacting with transitions?  A ladder diagram or sequence of operation might be helpful.

Based on the On-Grid EOD SOC setting, the inverter will charge the batteries once they reach the configured SOC, it will charge them and switch back to battery power after being charge 10%. This is how the inverter’s logic operates.
