I have an EG4 12K AC/DC mini-split running in my garage to keep my battery system environment cool in the summer and warm in the winter. It has been installed for about 3 months and every morning when I check it the cooling setting has gone to 62 degrees F. It is easy enough to reset but since it is using AC at night it is burning up my batteries to cool the space too much. Is this an issue anyone else has found, is there something I can do to correct it so that the temperature setting stays where I put it.

Any feedback from EG4 would be appreciated.

Thanks

Mike E.

Do you have a scene created on the Solar Aircon app?

No scenes just the setting for 72 degrees and cooling -- most mornings it has changed to 62 degrees F.  I tried turning off the unit between 11pm and 7 am but that did not change anything the temp still was 62 when I checked it later in the day. now it is just set to run 24/7 with a temp of 72 degrees (I have plenty of batteries and lots of PV to take care of it).  FYSA it is not yet connected to any PV input just AC from the load panel.

Thanks,

Mike E.

Yes, several users have reported similar issues with EG4 mini-splits reverting to default settings after a power cycle or scheduled restart. This behavior often results from the unit's memory not retaining user settings when switching between AC and battery power. To prevent this, ensure your system isn't experiencing brief power drops overnight that might cause the reset. You might also try using a smart thermostat or external controller that can reapply your desired settings automatically. It would be helpful for EG4 to confirm whether a firmware update or setting adjustment can resolve this behavior.
